Why wood grafting is important
Wood graftingis the process of separating wood fibers to form logs of suitable size from the log for drying and burning. Properly grafted pollen they dry faster, burn more evenly and are safe to handle. How vaccination is done - basic steps
1) Preparation of wood and time
Harder deciduous trees (oak, hornbeam, acacia) require more force than softer conifers (spruce, fir). Fresh wood is often easier to split, but must dry by the time of burning.
2) Preparation of the workplace

3) Vaccination
Pollen align with the axis of the wedge, avoid lateral loads. For knotty cuts, graft from the “softer” side or in layers. Two-handed operation do not turn off on the machine.
4) Conclusion
Pollen customize length of the stove/fireplace. Equal dimensions = uniform drying and burning.

- Hand Tools (ax, wedge) are slow and physically strenuous.

Drying and storage
Fold the logs on Ventilated placer aised from the floor (pallets/slats). Cover the top, the sides should breathe. Highlight month/year. Conifers dry faster, harder deciduous trees take longer - plan your stock in advance.
